Drive around the area
The area has changed a lot since we drove around it in what would now be 'antique' cars. Today, you are likely to get lost very quickly on the roads that you knew like the back of your hand. We are currently working on some touring directions (remember the old AAA TripTiks?) that will take you around to some of the places where we hung out as kids. Be sure to send in some suggestions as we build these up.
Do some shopping
Philadelphia Outlet Mall - People from outside the area may not know where Royersford is, or even the Limerick Power Plant. But they sure know about the outlets! Just head up Rt. 422 towards Pottstown, take the Sanatoga exit, and bear left. You'll see it.
King of Prussia Mall - The old King of Prussia Plaza has grown up! What used to be E.J. Korvette's, Woolworth, Gimbles, and some other stores is now the third largest mall in the country! The Plaza grew, then a developer constructed The Court at King of Prussia. They built a bridge lined with stores to join the two and you won't believe how big the place has become! Take Rt. 422 East towards Philadelphia, get off at the Valley Forge exit (Rt. 23) and bear right. At the light, turn left onto North Gulph Rd. (Valley Forge Visitor Center is on the far right corner). Turn left onto Goddard Blvd (2.4 miles - CHOP will be to your right). Goddard Blvd dead-ends at the mall. Happy shopping!
Take in some history
Valley Forge Park - OK, you grew up around here, but did you ever visit the visitor's center at Valley Forge? If the answer is 'no' or 'yes, when I was a kid', then it is time for you to go down and visit the new improved center! Check out their mini-museum, displays, and movie. Don't forget to buy a cannon to take home with you! Take Rt. 422 East towards Philadelphia, get off at the Valley Forge exit (Rt. 23) and bear right. At the light, go straight across, then bear right to the Visitor Center.
